Athlete of the Week: Kennedy Plummer

Green Hill volleyball’s #5 Kennedy Plummer has proven herself as a key player on her team. This week, she recorded an impressive 30 kills across two critical in-county victories against Lebanon High School and Mount Juliet High School. Her excellence isn’t limited to just this week; Kennedy was also voted one of Tennessee’s top volleyball players at midseason by The Tennessean.

At the time of the vote, she had already amassed 113 kills and 70 digs, which shows just how critical her presence has been on the court this season. A senior with a 4.3 GPA, Kennedy continues to shine both academically and athletically. We look forward to seeing what Kennedy does next and how the rest of her senior season unfolds!

Shoulder injuries, such as torn rotator cuffs, are common among volleyball players due to the repetitive overhead motions involved in the sport. Orthopedics and physical therapy play a vital role in helping athletes recover from these injuries by improving strength, flexibility, and stability in the shoulder. With the right care, athletes can return to the game stronger than ever.
