Physical Therapy

At Dube Orthopedics and Physical Therapy, our team of providers will work with you to relieve pain, improve mobility, restore impaired functions and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. Our providers are versatile offering a range of therapies from Manual Therapy to Advanced Therapy methods.

Manual Therapy uses pressure, exercises, stretches and heat to manipulate the muscles and restore functionality to the back, lumbar or other areas of the body. Manual physical therapy is an option for those suffering with acute or chronic back pain and can provide relief for a variety of ailments. Manual therapy methods included but are not limited to:

  • Stretching: Improve joint mobility and muscle length

  • Soft Tissue Immobilization: Release muscle guarding and improve function

  • Joint Mobilization: Improve Joint gliding mechanics

  • Spinal Manipulation: Release joint tension to improve range of motion and release muscle guarding

Other Therapy Methods Offered:

  • Progressive Exercise Routine: improve muscle strength / stability

  • Mechanical Spinal Traction: Reduce spinal compression, relieve nerve root impingement

  • Electrical Stimulation: Reduce pain and muscle guarding

  • Ice/Heat Packs: Reduce pain, relieve muscle guarding, reduce inflammation

  • Balance Training: Improve balance to reduce falls and improve safety
