Athlete of the Week: Kannon Burrough

Kannon Burrough, a rising star from Green Hill High School’s football team, is already making a name for himself in the class of 2026. He’s already started receiving offers to play at the next level, and in January, he was ranked 36th in the nation for his class. So far this season, Kannon is living up to the hype, proving himself to be a critical player for his team. This week Kannon had 149 throwing yards resulting in 2 touchdowns, and rushed for another 112 yards.

Off the field, Kannon is just as impressive. With a 4.0 GPA, he dedicates as much time to his studies as he does to his game, balancing both with admirable discipline. His hard work and commitment will undoubtedly take him far, and we’re excited to follow his journey beyond high school. Until then, we’re all lucky to support such a great local talent.
