Athlete of the Week: Mitchell Carey
Our Athlete of the Week is Mitchell Carey, a senior quarterback at Donelson Christian Academy. This week, Carey threw for 198 yards, completed 3 touchdown passes, and added a personal rushing touchdown. Last season, he was named the Regional Offensive MVP, and he is currently ranked 10th in the state in offensive passing yards, showcasing his elite skills.
He has started the recruitment process, intending to continue his athletic career in college. Along with his football success, Mitchell also plays varsity basketball and varsity baseball, making him a standout multi-sport athlete. Academically, he holds a 4.05 GPA, underscoring his dedication to excelling in both athletics and academics. Mitchell’s leadership on and off the field is driving DCA’s success, and his well-rounded athletic talents set him apart.
