Dr. Barksdale, a former All-American collegiate and professional baseball player, discovered his calling for treating foot and ankle injuries during his time on the field. Following his athletic career, he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his 4 year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, specializing in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle surgery, at New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in New York City.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Barksdale loves spending quality time with his wife and their dogs, as well as engaging in activities like golf, rock climbing, and snowboarding. He is excited to call Nashville home and looks forward to treating the entire spectrum of foot and ankle conditions at Dube Orthopedics/Nashville Bone and Joint.
